Finding the Perfect Cleaning Company: Why It's Such a Challenge and How to Overcome It

"Why is it so hard to find a great cleaning company?" This is a question that I hear from potential clients all the time. I can't tell you how many churches, schools, and businesses are just down right discouraged by their cleaning service experiences. Bloom is on a mission to change this, starting in the Baton Rouge area.

We truly believe that a thriving community must have strong businesses, successful schools, and healthy churches. I will go into this more a little later. For now, let's talk about why you haven't been able to find a great cleaning company.

  1. When it comes to your cleaning company, you are choosing the cheapest option

Your business matters. Don't settle for a mediocre cleaning service.
Don't settle for mediocre service. Choose Bloom.

It pains me to have to say this because I love to save money, but the cheapest option in this case, is usually going to be the most disappointing, and here is why. Cleaning companies have to pay their people to be on your property. Every hour that they spend at your facility is costing them in payroll.

So, a cheap price means that they will not be spending a whole lot of time in your building. They just can't afford to.

What you will get are people who come for the absolute minimum amount of time to keep you off of their backs - maybe empty the trash and restock paper products.

But what if you just don't have a large budget for cleaning services? That is totally ok. Small businesses often don't have a big budget set aside for cleaning. In this case, have realistic expectations of what you can get for the budget you do have and then plan to do some cleaning yourself. As your business grows, you can then decide if you want to increase your budget to get more services. You can still work with a great, reliable company. You may just have to scale your requested services back a bit.

In my experience, it's better to work with a company that looks out for your business that cost a little more than to pay for subpar service that creates headaches for you in the long run.

  1. You aren't choosing a local company

Choose a local, Baton Rouge cleaning service.
Local businesses matter to a local cleaning company.

When it comes to customer service, there is nothing worse than calling to speak with someone only to get an automated answering service or someone who barely speaks English. What local businesses, schools, and churches need is a real person who is invested in the local economy - someone who has a reputation at stake.

In reality, franchise businesses have the backing of a big name behind them. Local businesses rely heavily on reputation and word of mouth. They absolutely must do a good job if they want to secure contracts in the future. This creates some much needed accountability for the local cleaning company that you choose.

Local cleaning companies also have personal buy in since we are serving our own communities. We want to see businesses succeed. We love to see our kids get a great education in a sanitary environment. And we know how important it is for churches to meet together for worship and ministry.

As a bonus, when you choose local, you aren't just another contract. We never want you to feel like you aren't a priority to us. Your livelihood, your kids, and your church matter a great deal.

  1. You aren't choosing Bloom

I say this part tongue in cheek, and part serious. There are some great local companies out there, and Bloom happens to be one of them. We really do pride ourselves in being the 'set and forget' company of Baton Rouge, LA. When you hire us, we show up and do what we are paid to do. And when you call, you get us - real people, every time.

We want to be the last cleaning company you will ever need. We show up with that mentality every day, because when your business looks good so does ours. We know you work hard every day to make your community better, and we want to be your partner in that endeavor.

So, to all of the business owners, teachers, pastors and church members of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas, let us say thank for you being pillars of community. Keep up the good work.
